The Picnic food delivery company, has no physical stores, but uses IT to organise deliveries of its customers groceries from its distribution centre in Utrecht, in the Netherlands in a highly automated process – here boxes of groceries are moved via automated and robotic processes to various parts of the centre according the goods required.
